Kenya: FKF Nairobi Branch Clubs to Be Feted

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Nairobi branch football league will reward their top clubs this weekend. Branch chairman Michael Ouma said clubs will meet this weekend at Charter Hall on Saturday, where top on the agenda will be review of their last season's performance.

"We want the clubs to be active participants in the way our leagues are run. This is why we are going to deliberate with them and take in their suggestions on how to improve the league," he said.

Last year ,the Nairobi Provincial League winners, Jericho All Stars, were promoted directly into the Nationwide League after the FKF national office scrapped plans for a mini league that was to be held in Meru last month.

Meanwhile the branch secretary general Steve Ragos yesterday revealed that most teams seeking to participate in their leagues have already made their payments. He said fixtures will be issued depending each club's on the payments status. "This time things will be different from last season. Only paid up teams will be on the fixtures and will appear on our programs unless you have a special case," he warned.
