Nigeria: STF Constitute Panel of Enquiry Into Murder of Police Inspector

A board of Enquiry has been set up to look into the murder of a police inspector by an army corporal attached to the Special Task Force (STF) in Tunkus, Mikang Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Spokesman of the task force, Capt. Salisu Mustapha, who disclosed this, said the board which is made up of military personnel and men from other security outfits will either be sitting in Jos or along Langtang Mikang axis to enable it have access to witnesses who are likely to be based close to the scene of the crime, adding that the panel it will commence sitting immediately.

The corporal, whose name was given as Mohammad Sherrif, shot Inspector Nimbar Dul at a checkpoint in Mikang after a heated argument on Monday.
