Angola: Culture Minister Encourages Historians

Namacunde — The minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, on Thursday here encouraged the historians and other interested people for a greater research and scientific studies about the Angolan history, Angop has learnt.

The official said so when speaking at the closing ceremony of the first international seminar on the resistance against the occupation of the South of Angola.

She added that it is very important for the construction of the national history and for that it is necessary to listen to all involved elements, from the existing oral, written and material sources.

The Minister also said that the ministry will continue promoting similar meetings at the level of provinces, meant to provide forums for debate and analysis of the Angolan history.
