Angola: Health Technicians Assess Intra-Residual Spraying Campaign

Ondjiva — Technicians from provincial health department in the southern Cunene province gathered Thursday to assess the 5th indoor-residual spraying campaign held in 2012.

The event is intended to present the results achieved during the period of activities.

The event counts on the participation of several health partners who will address issues related to awareness preventive actions and anti-larval combat, to reduce and combat malaria within communities.

Local data point to sharp decrease in the cases of malaria by 50 percent during 2012.

Some 43.492 cases were recorded in 2012 against 87,451 in the 2011.
