Angola: UNDP, Sinprof Promote Conference On Millennium Goals

Lubango — The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the National Teachers Trade-Union (Sinprof) in Huila Province, on Thursday in Lubango City started a Regional Conference on the Millennium Development Goals.

The meeting gathers teachers, members of the civil society and government, NGOs, religious personalities and representatives of youth organizations.

The meeting is intended to collect contributions that can be presented at the global consultation of 19 countries, which Angola is to host this year.

The participants to the conference will discuss themes related to the assessment of the results of the millennium development goals, consultations on the development goals, as well as the contributions to the enrichment of the global consultation.

This is the first meeting organised in this province by the UNDP and Sinprof.
