Nigeria: STF Condoles With Police Over Inspector's Killing

Jos — The Special Task Force (STF) Commander in Plateau State, Major General Henry Ayoola, yesterday presented a condolence letter to the Nigeria Police Force over the killing of police inspector Ninkpar Dul by an army corporal in Mikang Local Government Area of the state on Monday.

The commander, who led a delegation of senior officers of the STF to the Plateau State Police Commissioner of Police, Mr Chris Olakpe, described the "sad incident" that led to the death of the police inspector as "a challenge to all of us which requires urgent and deliberate steps to bring an end to any act of indiscipline within the system."

Ayoola further described Plateau as a shining example of synergy among security agencies which, he said, needed understanding to work together.

Earlier, Police Commissioner, Chris Olakpe, said there was a lacuna among the senior officers that needed to be bridged so that levels of impunity will end and also promote the network between police and military interaction in order to reduce the superiority and inferiority complex.
