Egypt: Armed Forces Committed to Defending Nation's Security - Defense Minister

Minister of Defense and Military Production First Major General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Thursday reaffirmed the commitment of Egypt's Armed Forced towards the people in defending the country's security and stability.

The Armed Forces are keen on "contributing with their resources to support plans for comprehensive development" in Egypt, al-Sisi said in a statement reported by the state news agency and published on the military's official spokesman Facebook page.

The minister was talking during a visit to inspect Saad al-Shazli axis road project which the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority is implementing to connect the ring road to the Cairo-Ismailia desert road.

This project will help keep up with future traffic density.
