Libya: Nation, Italy Strengthen Military Ties

Libyan Defence Minister Mohamed al-Barghathi received his Italian counterpart Giampaolo Di Paola on Wednesday (February 6th), Tripoli Post reported. The Tripoli talks focused on military and security co-operation.

The Italian minister presented 20 PUMA armoured vehicles to Libya in a ceremony at Tripoli Naval Base.

"We are prepared to help the new government by providing vehicles, training and a border control system," Tripoli Post quoted Di Paola as saying.
