Nigeria: NSDC Commends Daily Trust

Jos — The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Plateau State yesterday commended Daily Trust newspapers for what he described as their prompt and efficient reportage of activities of the corps, especially in its fight against vandalism.

Commandant of the corps in the state, Vincent Bature, who made the commendation when he paid a courtesy visit to the Daily Trust bureau office in Jos, said the corps was planning to embark on a collaborative awareness campaign with the Nigeria police force and the State Security Service, on the activities of vandals in the state, and called for Daily Trust cooperation.

Bature, who was accompanied by other senior officers of the corps, said he wants to further cement the relationship between the corps and Daily Trust newspapers.

In their separate remarks, Daily Trust Jos Bureau Chief, Onimisi Alao and advert executive, Florence Oketona, thanked the commandant for his visit and urged the corps to patronise the organisation in the area of advertisements and paper subscription.
