Nigeria: Gunmen Kill Three Female Health Workers in Kano

Unknown gunmen, Friday morning, shot to death 3 female immunization officers at Filin Kashew, Ungwa-Uku within Kano metropolis.

Eye witness account told Vanguard that the assailants came in a tricycle and vanished in the ensuing pandemonium.

The women had been on Polio immunization rounds in the city when they were attacked.

The Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Kano Command, ASP Magaji Musa Majia confirmed the attack; but noted that details were still sketchy; a formal briefing is expected to hold later.
