Kenya: Cabinet Orders Tight Security in Electioneering Period

Cabinet has ordered the internal security ministry to deal firmly and take legal action on criminal gangs and all those engaged in cattle rustling.
In a brief chaired by President Kibaki, cabinet ordered the ministry to deal decisively with all criminal gangs currently posing threats to national security. It also wants the ministry to ensure adequate security arrangements ahead of the march polls.
