Kenya: Cabinet Warns Politicians On Using Inflammatory Statements During Campaigns

Politicians have been warned against using emotive and sensational utterances that are inflammatory, abusive and divisive during their campaigns.

A cabinet meeting chaired by president Kibaki noted the heightened tensions arising from the ongoing political campaigns. Relevant institutions have now been directed to take immediate stern action against anyone threatening peace and security countrywide.
