Nigeria: Kano - Gunmen Kill Nine Female Health Workers

Unknown gunmen on Friday morning shot dead nine women health workers on immunization exercise at Filin Kashu and Hayen Hotoro at Shargalle Health Centre in Kano metropolis in two separate attacks.

The gunmen, who came on tricycle, shot dead three women at Filin Kashu area of Unguwa Uku and injured three others, while another set of gunmen also attacked Hayen Hotoro at Shargalle Health Centre killing seven women who were on immunization exercise.

Only last month similar attacks on health workers were carried out in Pakistan allegedly by the Taliban.
