Gambia: Man Arraigned for Threatening Violence

One Abdoulie Sanyang was Wednesday arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court and charged with two counts of threatening violence and going armed in public.

According to the charge sheet on count one, the accused, Abdoulie Sanyang, on 2 February 2013, at Latrikunda German, in the Kanifing Municipality, threatened to stab one Haddy Sambou with a knife.

The particulars of offence on count two stated that he was armed with a knife in a bar without any authority.

He denied the charges and was remanded in custody pending the adjourned date.

The case was then adjourned till 11 February 2013.
