The members of the National Defence Ministry's management last Thursday in Luanda received information about the country's political and military situation, at an ordinary meeting chaired by the incumbent minister, Cândido Pereira dos Santos Van-Dúnem.
According to a communiqué distributed to the press, in the end of the meeting, the participants to the gathering were also informed about the mechanisms to pay pensioners of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), an information that was given by colonel Pedro Jerónimo Xavier.
The colonel reaffirmed the commitment of the various structures towards resolving the problems of the FAA pensioners.
The National Defence Ministry's management was also informed about the FAA's logistical sector, whose programmes have been implemented satisfactorily, thus guaranteeing the nutritional stability and accommodation of the troops.
The meeting made an assessment of the activities that were carried out in the fourth quarter of the year 2012, analysed the level of execution of the 2012 budget and discussed the budget for the year 2013.
