Angola: Culture Department Wants Entrepreneurs to Support Carnival

Ndalatando — The provincial director of culture in Kwanza Norte Province, David joão Buba, on Friday in Ndalatando City appealed to entrepreneurs to give major support to the Carnival, aimed at bringing improvements to this parade, which is considered one of the greatest popular feasts of the country.

The official said to ANGOP that if major support is given by the entrepreneurs to the carnival, the contesting groups will improve their act and, consequently, exhibit the province's cultural diversity.

He explained that there has been contacts through the management of the carnival groups and the entrepreneurs, with the aim of bringing about improvements in their participation, but the responses have not been satisfactory, reason why the provincial government has been financing the preparation of the groups.

"If people have been investing in sport why not support the carnival as well as?", David Buba questioned.
