Egypt: 6,700 Square Meters Allocated to Generate Power From Wind

The government has allocated 6,700 square meters of lands for the establishment of projects to generate electricity from wind energy, said Electricity Minister Mohamed Imam.

Egypt has a wind atlas that would help carry out the projects, especially in Suez and the Red Sea regions, Imam said. Facilities will be offered to the private sector to invest in this domain through the usufruct system, he added.
