Nigeria: Four Killed Along Benin-Warri Highway

Benin — NO fewer than four persons were on Thursday night killed in a car crash that occurred along the Benin-Warri dual carriage way.

Three others were said to have suffered severe injuries in the accident.

Vanguard learnt that the car had somersaulted several times while attempting to avoid a head-on collision with an on coming vehicle.

They were said to be travelling to the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) depot in Benin from Warri.

An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps who pleaded anonymity said the victims were rescued by some policemen on transit before they got there.
