Kaduna — The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) yesterday urged the warring communities in Nasarawa and Kwara States to sheathe their sword and embrace dialogue that are in place to address any perceived grievances.
The forum in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Anthony Sani said killing of innocent people at the slightest provocation is uncivilised and a resort to cave age mentality that cannot bring about the needed peace and socio-economic development.
the ACF said what dialogue cannot solve, violence cannot address.
"It is against this backdrop that the Forum calls on the feuding communities in Nasarawa and Kwara States to sheathe their swords and embrace dialogue that are in place to address any perceived grievances.
"The ACF also commiserates with the government and people of both states over the loss of lives and property to the clashes between communities.
"May God give them the wisdom and means of getting over the violence and replacement of the losses many folds," the forum prayed.
