Nigeria: Emir Charges Kwara's Hausa Community On Peace

Ilorin — The Emir of IIorin, Alhaj Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has called on Hausa community in Kwara State to live peacefully with their host community for better economic prosperity.

The monarch made the call shortly after he confirmed the appointment of the new Sarkin Hausawa of Kwara State, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Mai-Shanu.

The emir said more economic prosperity could only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere. "Be your brothers' keepers and love your host Community for more economic development to be attained in Kwara", the Emir said.

The Emir advised the Hausa Community in the state to desist from acts capable of tarnishing their image.

The new Sarkin Hausawa thanked the Emir for his appointment and pledged that he will carry out his assignment with all sense of responsibility.
