Nigeria: Ebonyi, Rivers to Benefit From Bauchi's Water Reforms

Success recorded in Bauchi water reforms has led to the expansion of the programme to Rivers and Ebonyi states.

This was stated by the Technical Supervisor of USAID-SUWASA programme in Africa, Mr. John Butler, during a three- day capacity building workshop for stakeholders from the three states in urban water supply and sanitation, which held at Bolton White Hotel Abuja yesterday.

He said the commitment towards the reform exhibited by the benefitting states is a clear testimony of the need to have such reforms in the water and sanitation in the two new states coming on board.

He said the essence of the workshop was to bring the three states together for the purpose of identifying training needs in order to design a support programme that can fast tract the urban water supply and sanitation reform in the three states.
