Burkina Faso: NPP Scorn President Mahama

Sammy Awuku, the Deputy Communications Director for the opposition ruling party in Ghana New Patriotic Party has totally condemned President John Mahama's statement "...I'm glad I didn't go".

He however says it's disrespectful on the side of the players. Speaking at an official Ceremony the president said, "I know this morning we are all heartbroken by our unfortunate defeat by Burkina Faso in the African Cup of Nations yesterday night - my Vice was there yesterday evening to watch the match and I don't envy him, and I'm glad I didn't go."

Most Ghanaian were looking forward to the Black Stars getting to the finals and b ringing the trophy home but it was quite a disappointment when the Black Stars lost to the Stallions.

This was a situation of both Ghanaians and foreigners both giving their own reason why Ghana didn't get to the finals.
