Nigeria: Arik Takes Okediran On Book Tour of Five U.S. Cities

Arik Air Nigeria will be sponsoring Wale Okediran on a '5 City US Book Reading Tour' from February 12 to 20th, 2013 for the reading of his award winning book, Tenants of the House.

The tour which will start with a reading at the University Of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on February 12 will also take the author to Broward College, Coconut Creek, Florida (February 13), University Of Florida in Gainsville (February 14), Tallahassee, Florida (February 15) and Atlanta, Georgia (February 16). A Dinner/Press Conference will round up the visit on February 20 in Cincinnati Ohio.

During the trip, Okediran, a past National President of the Association of Nigerian Authors and former Member, House of Representatives, Abuja will be reading from his book TENANTS OF THE HOUSE, a fictional account of his stay in the Nigerian Parliament.

Okediran who is a Medical Doctor by training is also expected to deliver a Lecture on contemporary Tropical Medicine to Medical Students at the University of Florida.

Tenants of the House a co winner of the 2010 Wole Soyinka Prize for African Literature is currently on the reading list of about 10 Nigerian Universities. It was published by Nelson Publishers Nigeria in 2009 while the US edition was released by AVM Publishers, New Jersey, US, in 2012.
