Kenya: Abdulswamad On Education

MVITA A parliamentary candidate has asked education players in Mombasa to come up with ways to boost standards. Abdulswamad Nassir, who is the chairman of Shariff Nassir Foundation, said the region performed poorly in the 2012 KCPE.

He was speaking during a prize giving day in Mvita constituency, which he wants to represent in Parliament. Most leaders at the event, including Knut Mombasa county secretary Stephen Ouma, blamed political leaders for the poor results. "They said tuition should be banned. The results speak for themselves," said Ouma.
