Bandits raided Kenya's Kaptir village in Turkana South in the early morning on Friday (February 8th), killing at least five people, Kenya's The Standard reported.
Bandits raided the village near dawn, stealing over 2,000 animals and killing two men, two children and one woman.
The Turkana area has seen a spike in livestock raids in the recent past. On Wednesday, a man was killed by suspected rustlers in a raid in Baringo County. On Tuesday, bandits killed three police officers and a villager in East Pokot. On Sunday, livestock raiders in Baringo County shot and killed six people, including three police officers.
