Most of ladies in Arusha like to put on synthetic (artificial) hair. Each lady appears with fake hair, wigs, weavings or braids. The question comes why do most ladies like to do this? Are they not satisfied with their original hair? or do they think with fake hair they would look more attractive?

In this circumstance it has been also an opportunity for business men to open shops containing varieties of synthetic hair and sell them at high prices. I understand that some ladies are happy to part with more than 30 thousand shillings to purchase synthetic hair and forgo other basic needs. I am also surprised why a lady without synthetic hair is considered old fashion.

As African ladies we should prefer our natural hair than donning fake ones. Synthetic hair makes us lose our originality. Our natural black hair makes us more beautiful as ladies.
