Kenya: Farmers Warned Over Seeds

Kenya Seed Company managing director Willy Bett has advised farmers in Trans Nzoia to be cautious when buying maize seeds to avoid being duped by conmen.

He said fraudsters were selling fake white maize seeds presumably obtained from the Agricultural Development Cooperation. Bett urged the farmers to buy seeds only from the recommended retailers. He was speaking on Friday at the national agricultural field day at Rafiki Farm in Kitale.
