Egypt: Military Production Minister - No Contradiction Between Our Civil Activities and Our Main Duty
10 February 2013
Minister of Military Production Lieutenant General Reda Hafez said in a statement to Al-Gomhouria daily on 9/2/2013 that his ministry works round the clock to meet the needs of various ministries and other State departments to save hard currency used to import such equipment.
The Minister added that the military production works in many fields that serve development such as building bakeries and water and sewage stations and providing private sector factories with spare parts.
Hafez confirmed that the military production's contribution to meeting civil needs does not affect its main duty of providing the Armed Forces with various kinds of weapons and ammunitions.
