Egypt: Health Ministry - One Death, 216 Injured in Demonstrations

Spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Ahmed Omar announced on 9/2/2013 that the clashes in Cairo and other governorates last Friday left one person dead and 216 injured.

He added that most of the injured were discharged from hospitals after receiving the required medical treatment. Only six of them are still under medical treatment, he explained.

About the dead person, he said that he has not been identified and his body was transferred from Ittihadeya palace to El-Helal hospital.
