Egyptian Churches Begins Dialogue By Praying for Unity

Egyptian Churches presented a model for the right way of dialogue which aims to achieve unity, where the week of praying was launched on 9/2/2013 under the auspices of Middle East Churches Council.

The opening celebration took place at the Anglican Church in Fagala district.

Bishop Monir Hanna said that the week of praying is not for the sake of unity of churches only but for the unity of Egypt as well. He indicated that dialogue is the only way to achieve unity.

Anba Bishoy said that late Pope Shenouda III is the one who started the Unity dialogue of churches because he acknowledged the importance of dialogue as it came in the Bible.
