Egypt: Presidential Advisor - a New Project for Using Black Sand in North Delta

Advisor to the President of the Republic for Environmental Affairs Dr. Khaled Alam-el-din said that the coming period will witness a new project for the use of black sand in North Delta, while will generate billions of pounds for Egypt.

In a symposium in Bibliotheca Alexandrina on Saturday 09/02/2013, Alam-el-din pointed out that there is a plan to implement this project in the near future in North Delta.

Alam-el-din noted that this stage is in need of a sustainable development with an environmental dimension through efforts of all parties for the construction and development in order to achieve economic stability and progress.

He stressed the need to set up a database and implement environmental awareness programs to spread awareness of climate change risks.
