Egypt: Prime Minister Condemns Friday's Violence

Prime Minister Hisham Qandeel condemned on Friday 08/02/2013 the latest wave of violent acts and riots, which hit some parts of the country.

The premier said that violent acts can't be justified, and wondered "what is the benefit of blocking roads and attacking public utilities".

Qandil blamed protest organizers for not impeding violence and preventing rioters from penetrating protests.

He, also, condemned calls for marching to Ittihadiya palace, saying the palace is one of the "sensitive sites" in the country that shouldn't be attacked.
