Egypt: Ministry - Second Container Terminal At Sokhna Port to Be Offered in a Month

Ministry of Transport said on Saturday 09/02/2013 that the project of second container terminal at Sokhna port will be offered in a month for a global investor with investments reaching nearly EGP 5 billion.

Dr. Waleed Abdel-Ghaffar, the General Coordinator of Suez Canal region development project said that the ministry is currently preparing the final draft of Bid Requirements in order to activate the role of Sokhna port as an engine for the Egyptian economy.

He added that Sokhna port plays an important role within the framework of Suez Canal region development project.
