Nigeria: Organisation Donates Free Mosquito Nets to Pregnant Women

Some pregnant women across the six area councils of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were recently given free treated mosquito nets by the Jumai Aduda Organisation, a non-governmental organisation.

The organization, also offered scholarship to twelve indigent female children within the territory.

The organisation's president, Hauwa Tanimu Aduda, announced the gesture recently at the grand finale of the launching of the organization in Abuja.

She said twenty widows drawn from each of the six area councils have so far been empowered by the organisation.

Mrs. Aduda added that the organisation intends to put smiles on the faces of women especially the indigent ones residing within the territory.

Earlier, the senator representing FCT in the National Assembly, Philips Tanimu Aduda, said the organisation was founded by his late mother, Mrs Jumai Aduda, adding that its re-launch is to uphold the legacy she left behind.

He commended well meaning Nigerians, who stood behind the family since the death of his mother, assuring that the family will continue to work for what she stood for.

The event, which was attended by prominent Nigerians, was followed by a dinner and fund raising in support of the organisation.
