Nigeria: Large Crowd Heralds Chime's Return to Enugu

After months of speculations over his whereabouts, Enugu State governor, Mr. Sullivan Chime, Friday returned to the state. He did not, however, address the huge crowd of supporters that had swarmed the airport to welcome him.

The Governor who had arrived Abuja on Wednesday from London, departed Protea Hotel in Asokoro in the Federal Capital Territory, for Enugu, at 1.23pm in the company of former Senate President, Mr. Ken Nnamani. The former Senate president told reporters the governor was "strong and healthy" in response to questions about the state of his health.
