Angola: Internationalization of Angolan Economy Highlighted

Cape Town — The internationalization of the Angolan economy is a fact in the sectors of oil and mining, where there are already some positive signs.

This was said to press on Friday in Cape Town, South Africa, by the Angolan Minister of Geology and Mining, Francisco Queiroz, on the fringes of the 19th International Conference on Mining that ended on Thursday.

Francisco Queiroz said that in the oil domain, there are investments of Sonangol in various countries, while the mining activity is carried out in some African states.

"Here in Indaba we explore the possibility of Angolan mining companies to operate in Zimbabwe, through the Mining Corporate of Catoca and Sodiam", said the official.

The minister explained that all public investments made in the last 10 years of peace in Angola was centred on the reconstruction of infrastructures.
