Algeria: Nation Intercepts AQIM Bombers

The Algerian army arrested two al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) suicide bombers in Tinzouatine, El Watan reported on Friday (February 8th). The Algerian and Malian nationals had explosive belts and automatic weapons when they were intercepted in the Tamanrasset town near the Mali border.

Algeria has deployed reinforcements to secure the border with Mali, to prevent terror attacks similar to the In Amenas gas complex siege.
