Egypt: AWQAF Minister Rejects Visiting Al-Quds Under Israeli Occupation

Minister of Awqaf Talaat Afifi on Sunday 10/2/2013 rejected visiting al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) under the Israeli occupation.

He expressed, in statements, his hope to see al-Quds liberated as soon as possible in order to visit it along with other Muslims who wish to visit the holy city.

He said that Egypt is capable of regaining its prominent status after the January 25 revolution because of its cultural, scientific and religious heritage.

He asserted that the ministry's role is to spread the moderate teachings of Islam among Egyptians.
