Principal Magistrate Babucarr Secka of the Brikama Magistrates' Court, on Wednesday, 6th February 2013 convicted and sentenced one Mustapha Ndow to pay a fine of D1500, in defualt to serve 3 months' imprisonment, for the offence of theft.

According to the facts of the case, narrated by the police prosecutor, 1st class O. Touray, the offence was committedon15th January 2013 between the hours of 1:30amand 2am when the convict went to the compound of the complainant, Abdoulie Bojang and stole the following items: 1 head cap valued at D75 and one school bag and other items value at D300.

The convict was interrogated at the Brikama Police Station where he gave his cautionary and voluntary statements and charged accordingly. The prosecutor tendered the said statements which were admitted and marked as exhibits before Mustapha Ndow was sentenced accordingly.
