Gambia: Gamtel Pip Interior

Gamtel recovered from their last weekend's 1-0 loss to Brikama United with a similar scoreline win over newly promoted Interior in a game played at the KG5 Mini-Stadium in Banjul on Saturday.

But despite the latest setback in their return to the top flight, Ebrima Manneh's Interior gave a good account of themselves with an impressive performance. However, they struggled to create chances.

The FA cup champions found the back of the net in the 38th minute through star player Modou Sarr. The telecommunication giants had a chance to extend their lead after the break when Modou Sarr sent a defence splitting pass to Hamang Conteh who only had the keeper to beat but the Interior goal tender reacted quickly enough.
