Sierra Leone: OBBA-U.s. Donates to School

Freetown — The USA branch of the Old Bo School Boys Association (OBBA) has last week donated a boarding home and school materials to the school.

The chairman of the ceremony, John T. Minnah, expressed his heartfelt satisfaction for the donation by thanking all those who responded to the impromptu request in diverse ways.

The principal of Bo Government Secondary School, Mohamed Amara, said the donated items were as a result of a request made by the school administration when he assumed office.

He said two years back, the school received four hundred chairs to improve on the poor sitting condition in the school and the sum of US$8,000 was recently donated for the rehabilitation of the administration hall of which US$5,000 has been used. Mr. Amara pleaded with members of the OBBA USA branch to continue their unflinching support to the school.

The donated items were received by the OBBA national president, Dr. Andrew Turay.
