Kenya: Ojiambo Backs U.S. Position On ICC

BUSIA County women representative, Dr. Julia Ojiambo has termed 'misplaced' head of Public Service Francis Kimemia's criticims over US secretary of state Johny Carson remarks.

Speaking in Malaba at the weekend during a campaign rally, Dr. Ojiambo said Kimemia's assertions had no basis.

The US President last Tuesday urged Kenyans to reject violence in the March 4 polls and accept people's verdict on the elected president of instead of resorting to violence.

Ojiambo defended Carson's remarks saying he was only expressing the stand of the American government on Kenya's elections.

The veteran politician is contesting for the seat with Florence Mutua of ODMN, Cynthia Mutere (Ford Kenya) and Hellen Mukanda (UDF) and Alice Adeda of FPK

Ojiambo warned Kenyans against voting for ICC suspects terming it suicidal for the country.
