A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today ordered six persons charged with the April to July, 2011 bombings in Suleja, Niger State to enter their defence.

The suspects - Shuaibu Abubakar, Salisu Ahmed, Umar Babangida, Mohammed Ali, Musa Adam and Umar Ibrahim - were arraigned by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) in a five counts charge contrary to section 15(2) of the EFCC Establishment Act, 2004.

Ruling on a-no-case-submissions brought by defence counsels Kevin Emeka Okoro and Nura Suleiman, Justice Bilkisu Aliyu held that there is sufficient prima facie case requiring the explanation of the accused persons.

The accused persons were charged with masterminding the terrorist attacks at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Suleja, Niger State on April 8, 2011; the attack on a Bwari village, FCT on May 23, 2011; and the attack on All Christian Fellowship, Suleja, Niger State on July 10, 2011.

The case is adjourned to March 12 and 13 for defence.
