Nigeria: Afcon 2013 - Bamanga Tukur, ACN Hail Super Eagles

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has described the victory by the Nigerian Super Eagles at the just concluded African Cup of Nations football fiesta in South Africa as an elixir meant to re-awaken the spirit of greatness in Nigeria and its people.

Bamanga Tukur said he was happy that hard work, discipline, sense of dedication and the spirit of Nigerianness in the players won for them victory over Burkina Faso and other teams they beat during the soccer fiesta.

Also commenting on the victory, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) hailed Stephen Keshi's transformation of the national football team, the Super Eagles which has earned Nigeria the Africa Nations Cup triumph in South Africa.

The party said by producing positive results, even when not everyone believed in him, Keshi has shown the endless possibilities abound in the country.

In a congratulatory message to the Super Eagles for winning the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 19 years, ACN said the victory showed what Nigeria can achieve when it allows talent, rather than mediocrity, to lead the way.
