Nigeria: Unknown Gunmen Killed Three in Kassa, STF Arrest Four Attackers

Unknown men yesterday opened fire and killed three persons in their farms in Kassa village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Also killed where about 23 cows, with nine wounded and five reported missing.

Media Officer of STF Captain Salisu Mustapha, in a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Jos yesterday, stated that the STF personnel "swiftly moved to the scene of the attack" and exchanged fire with the gunmen, leading to the death of two of them.

According to him, the STF also arrested four of the gunmen and recovered some weapons from them, including three AK 47 rifles, one locally made rifle, 45 rounds of 7 .62mm special and 31 cartridges.

The STF also warned that any individual or group of persons who foment trouble in the state would be treated as an enemy of the state.

Mustapha advised the residents to vigilant and to report any suspicious objects, persons or activities in their area to security agencies.
