Namibia: Ukwangali Traditional Authority Denies Corruption Claims

PEOPLE who complained to President Hifikepunye Pohamba about alleged corruption and unfair treatment by Ukwangali Traditional Authority (UTA) chief Sitentu Mpasi do not represent the Kwangali community, the traditional authority says in a statement.

Recent media reports stated that Kwangali residents had complained to Pohamba over a drawn-out court challenge of land allocations by Mpasi and also over the chief's alleged unilateral appointments to the traditional authority.
