Windhoek — With the MTC Premiership League having taken a breather to make way for the Bidvest Namibia Cup over last weekend - attention was diverted to mind games with the Namsports Premier Chess League, which moved into round two in earnest with participants picking each other's brains in Windhoek last weekend.
Action got underway with several clashes between the Herero Mall Chess Club and their Polytechnic counterparts - 1.5-2.5, followed by the confrontation between the Queens United and Indomitable Knights Chess Clubs. All together six teams took part in the opening round that included Capablanca, Weekend Chess Academy, Gunter Husselman and the Grand Monsters Chess Clubs.
