The Congress of South African Trade Unions - appalled by the continuous and sustained number of brutal rape cases and the scourge of violence against women and children in our society - has invited its affiliates, its allies, civil society organisations, religious groups, labour federations, business groups and any concerned South Africans to an urgent meeting to brainstorm a joint programme of action against gender-based violence and rape in our communities.
