Liberia: Former Defense Minister Ware Is Dead

Former Defense Minister Alhaji Sandee S. Ware is dead. The Rtd. General died at the ELWA Hospital at about 12:30 a.m Sunday morning, February 10, 2013 at age 73. General Ware is survived by his wife Ma Yatta Ware, a distributor at CEMENCO and eight children. Due to his 43 years of diligent services in the Armed Forces of Liberia, the VOA Barrack is named in his honor (Camp Ware).

Prior to his demise, he suffered from pressure and diabetes; says his youngest son, Sotee S. Ware. He has since been buried in accordance with his Islamic religion.

He was interred in his hometown, Jundu, Grand Cape Mount Country and was given the usual honor befitting a retired General by the AFL.
