Angola: Launching of Hockey World Cup Deemed Important Moment - CIRH Official

Luanda — The launching ceremony of the first hockey world cup, to be hosted for first time in Africa and Angola on 20-28 September in 2013 in the provinces of Luanda and Namibe, marks a great moment for history of this sport.

This was said to Angop on Monday by the chairperson of the International Rink Hockey Committee (CIHR), the German Harros Strucksberg, during the launching ceremony of the referred competition.

The top official of CIRH informed that the cup will be of a great standard, due to the efforts made by the Angolan authorities and from the point of view of organization and logistics.

Harros Strucksberg believes in the organizational capacity of Angola because it has been efficient in organizing international events under CIRH such as the holding of the first world club championship in 2006 and the African clubs championship in 2008.
